Meet Chef Angie Rose

Angela Rose’s culinary journey began in her grandparents’ garden, where she learned the essence of farm-to-table cooking and the bond between food and family. Growing up in an Black and Mexican household, she blended Southern soul food with Latin flair, which became the foundation of her unique culinary style. After studying at the Seattle Culinary Academy, Angela honed her skills at renowned hotels like the Fairmont Olympic and Four Seasons growing to lead as the executive chef at DC’s award winning rooftop restaurant Smoke and Mirrors as well as Rowhouse and Perch.  Known for her innovative approach, she earned acclaim in the DC culinary scene as a finalist on Chopped Spin It to Win It and with impressive appearances on local news shows such as Fox’s Lion Lunch Hour. 

Angela’s successful brand partnerships include Foudre with Black Owned Wine and Spirit Festival (BOWSfest), Alizar Vodka and more. Additionally, charitable initiatives such as Queer Soup Nights and DC Central Kitchen remain a top priority. Most recently, Chef Rose partnered with DC’s Go-Go Museum & Café as their Head Chef, running a hospitality program along with a mentorship program developing food and beverage programs within the community. Driven by passion, she continues to push culinary boundaries, creating dishes that unite people for special occasions.
