We’re turning up the volume in honor of go-go music: its pioneers, its cultural power, and its enduring heartbeat in the region.
M-NCPPC Department of Parks and Recreation: Prince George’s County is teaming up with the Go-Go Museum & Cafe to host an electrifying evening of go-go and gathering.

Our headliners, New Impressionz, have been making huge waves in the local go-go scene. Well known for blending go-go culture with unique covers, their high-energy performance is guaranteed to make this an evening to remember.
The Next Generation Krank Band is one of the hottest youth go-go bands in the DMV. Bringing classic go-go rhythms to a whole new generation, these skilled young musicians bring both hype and heart to the party.
Our sound selector for this evening will be Prince George’s County’s own DJ Bacon Bear from 93.9 WKYS FM. Covering the DMV’s thriving music scene on segments like KYS Versus and the Crank Session, she also uses her platform towards building stronger communities across the region.

Is there seating?
· Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair, a blanket, or something to sit on, along with something to create shade such as a covered chair. We recommend wearing hats, cool clothing, and bringing fans to beat the heat. Don’t forget sunscreen!
Is there a parking fee?
· No, parking is FREE! First row of parking will be reserved for accessibility.
Can I bring my own food?
· Yes, you are welcome to bring your food. We will also have food trucks from local businesses selling food for the duration of the concert.
Will ATMs be available for cash withdrawal?
· No, ATMs are not available on-site.
Is smoking permitted since the event is outdoors?
· No, smoking is not permitted. All outdoor parks in Prince George’s County with the Department of Parks and Recreation are smoke-free to promote a healthy environment for everyone. You can read more about it here.
