DESCRIPTION:The Go-Go Museum\, The DowntownDC Bid\, and The National Hip-Hop Museum present “The Go-Go Meets Hip-Hop Happy Hour” for the H.U. homecoming weekend kick-off at Anthem Row 801 K Street N.W. The event will take place on Friday\, October 24 from 5:30 PM-8:30 PM. And it will be hosted by “Play” from the movie\, House Party\, and the rap duo \,Kid’ N Play. NYC’s and Kid N Play’s DJ Wiz will collaborate with DC’s WPGC DJ Flexx for a musical jam session showing how both genres sample each other’s hits\, especially in the mid-80s and 90s. As you know\, Kid’ N Play sampled many Go-Go beats into their music. This happy hour is a teaser for what’s to come at the 2026 Go-Go Awards at the Lincoln Theater.
